Organizing Assets
Folders
Create folders to group related assets:
- Click New Folder in the left sidebar
- Enter a folder name
- Choose an optional color for visual distinction
- Drag assets into folders, or use the asset menu to move them
Click a folder in the sidebar to filter the view to only assets in that folder. Click All to see everything, or Unfiled to see assets not in any folder.
Tags
Add tags to assets for flexible categorization:
- Click an asset to open its details
- Add tags like "logo", "hero", "summer-campaign"
- Filter by tag using the dropdown above the asset grid
Assets can have multiple tags, making them easy to find through different searches.
Search
Use the search bar to find assets by name. Search works across all folders and combines with type and tag filters.
Viewing Asset Details
Click any asset to open its detail view, which shows:
- Preview - Full-size preview of the image or video
- File info - Name, type, size, dimensions
- Tags - View and edit tags
- Usage - See which Stories use this asset
From the detail view, you can rename the asset, update tags, replace the file, or delete it.
Using Assets in Stories
When building a Story in the editor:
- Click Add Image in the element toolbar
- The asset picker opens showing your library
- Search or filter to find the asset you need
- Click to select, then click Add to Story
The asset is added to your canvas. You can resize and position it like any other element.
Replacing an Asset File
Update an asset's file while keeping all existing usages:
- Click the asset to open its details
- Click Replace File
- Upload the new file
- All Stories using this asset automatically update
This is useful when updating logos or refreshing campaign images without manually editing each Story.
Deleting Assets
Deleting Unused Assets
- Click the asset to open its details (or use the ... menu on the asset card)
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion
Deleting Assets in Use
If an asset is used in one or more Stories:
- The delete confirmation shows where it's used
- You can choose to Force Delete, which removes the asset from all Stories
- Or cancel and manually remove the asset from Stories first
Bulk Operations
Manage multiple assets at once:
- Click Select to enter selection mode
- Click assets to select them (or use Select All)
- Use the action bar to:
- Move to... - Move selected assets to a folder
- Delete - Delete all selected assets
Click Cancel to exit selection mode.
Filtering and Sorting
Filter by Type
Click the type tabs above the asset grid:
- All - Show all assets
- Images - Show only images
- Videos - Show only videos
Sort Options
Sort your assets by:
- Date - When uploaded (newest or oldest first)
- Name - Alphabetically (A-Z or Z-A)
- Size - File size (largest or smallest first)
Click a sort option to toggle between ascending and descending order.
Tips
- Use descriptive names - "summer-campaign-hero.png" is easier to find than "image1.png"
- Tag consistently - Use the same tags across similar assets for easier filtering
- Organize by project - Create folders for campaigns or product launches
- Replace, don't re-upload - Use "Replace File" to update assets globally
- Check usage before deleting - Avoid breaking Stories by checking where assets are used
- Clean up regularly - Delete unused assets to keep your library organized
